As a generalist port, Guadeloupe Port Caraïbes handles a wide variety of traffic (passengers, goods, yachting). It is made up of five specialized sites spread over the archipelago: the Port of Jarry at Baie-Mahault, the port of Pointe-à-Pitre, the port of Basse-Terre, the port of Folle Anse at Marie-Galante and the ort of Bas-du-Fort.
Bringing together 95% of Guadeloupe's merchandise trade with the outside world and handling 3.7 million tons of goods, the Jarry Port is the main logistics platform on which the local economy relies. It allows on the one hand the energy supply, the import of raw materials, intermediate products and most consumer goods and, on the other hand, the export of Guadeloupean products (banana, sugar, rum, scrap metal) .

Naturally protected from the swell, accessible without any tidal or wind restrictions to overpanamax-type vessels, it has a draft of 15 meters and is located in the heart of the largest industrial-logistics area of the island. Towing and pilotage services are available for the access of the ships to the facilities and contribute to the reception of more than a dozen regular maritime services.
With 9 specialized docks (including a ro-ro dock), modern facilities, state-of-the-art equipment, it has 3 gantries, a large area of free warehouses - 2 dry warehouses and one of the largest refrigerated warehouses of the Caribbean - an industrial and commercial area where businesses are directly involved with the port tool. In ISPS standards the Port of Jarry is also fully under video surveillance.

Located in the heart of the Jarry area and in the immediate vicinity of the port facilities, the OEA-certified MARFRET agency is made up of around ten employees. Cultivating excellence and having a very fine knowledge of the market, they offer a personalized and high quality service to particularly demanding customers.
