Our ships

The sea remains a great risk for seafarers, even with ships maintained at the highest level of performance. Marfret is a recognised independent shipowner in the maritime and inland sectors.

THE SHIPS ARE A SIGN OF OUR PERFOMANCE

Investing in ships is a long-term commitment with a significant financial burden. Purchasing or building a vessel is one of the major decisions for the company.

The performance and reliability of the ship ensure adherence to schedules and the safety of goods on regular routes.

ARMAMENTS, AN INTERNAL SKILL

Marfret has a long-standing expertise in ship management, which is handled by the company’s internal resources. Each employee of the company is aware of their responsibilities and must be proactive about the risks of the profession. The procedures established at headquarters as well as on the ships aim to prevent risks: ensuring the safety of people and goods and preventing any risk of pollution.

LINE AND FLEET MANAGEMENT

In addition to owned vessels, the company manages several chartered vessels with the same ongoing focus on performance and reliability control.
The teams in the shipping department and the crews are committed to a dual objective:

• adherence to the assigned route: timely departure despite unforeseen circumstances;
• maintenance of the vessel at the highest level to preserve its reliability and value over time.

Regular liner shipping of container or ro-ro cargoes involves the complementary expertise of onshore line teams and crews onboard: operating vessels at sea and in port.
