Melbourne

Melbourne, Australie

Australia whilst distant from major world markets geographically is nevertheless well integrated into global markets. Rich in natural resources, minerals and agricultural products form Australia’s leading Export segments. From iron ore, coal, nickel and gold to soft commodities such as; wheat, wool, timber and livestock. It’s in the ground and on the ground where Australia has narrowed its economic focus and for which now earns its riches.

2017 sees the closure of the last remaining car manufacturing plants in Australia, adding to the steady decline in general manufacturing viability. The country’s main Import commodities are; motor vehicles, machinery, computers & electronics, furniture and general retail consumables such as clothing and homeware. Due to proximity to markets, Australia’s key trading partners are located throughout the Pacific Basin, particularly Asia.

The now weekly in frequency NASP service connects Australia directly and swiftly to its historical trading partners in Europe and the USA.
