Artists Set Sail”, an exhibition first presented in early 2026 at the Musée national de la Marine in Paris, drops anchor in Marseille. An opportunity for Marfret to share with its maritime community a fresh perspective on the world of shipping.
Born from an onboard residency conceived by Marfret and the Villa Albertine, in partnership with the Musée national de la Marine, the exhibition brings together the works of eight artists who sailed aboard the Marius between 2023 and 2024. Elsa Guillaume, Mathilde Pellé, Julia Bourdet, Florence de Schlichting, Clément Verger, Pierre Ducrozet, Arno Bertina and Grégoire Korganow crossed the Atlantic and the Pacific to offer an artistic perspective on the realities of maritime transport and globalisation. Illustrations, photographs, videos, sketchbooks, podcasts… so many sensitive and varied accounts of a world that too often remains invisible.
