Following the success of its first edition in Martinique, Marfret is organizing the 2nd edition of the Ferry Forum in Guadeloupe on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. This unique professional event brings together producers, industrial players, and distributors from the French West Indies and serves as a practical platform for exchanging ideas, identifying synergies, and launching joint projects.
The forum promotes exchanges between economic actors from Guadeloupe and Martinique, made possible by the Ferrymar service, operational since 2000, which provides a regular maritime link between the sister islands. This connection gives companies access to an expanded market of nearly 800,000 inhabitants – a key factor in supporting local industrial production and reducing dependence on imports.
As with the first edition, the Ferry Forum will take place in the hold of the Ferrymar vessel, offering a unique setting directly connected to inter-island exchanges. The space will be organized into several areas, including stands to showcase local products, thematic workshops, and small-group discussion zones. This layout facilitates targeted meetings and concrete collaborations. Participants will include organizations such as the Cœur Martinique association, an initiative supported by Marfret to promote economic and industrial development in Martinique.
During the first edition, nearly 200 participants from various sectors -agri-food, construction materials, energy, printing, and chemistry – used the platform to strengthen their networks and explore concrete projects. The second edition will expand these exchanges by involving more stakeholders and opening new avenues to boost local production and support regional economic development.
By combining the reliability of the Ferrymar service with the Ferry Forum initiative, Marfret offers a comprehensive approach: an efficient maritime infrastructure paired with an operational meeting space, enabling companies to grow their activities, optimize inter-island flows, and foster collaborations between producers, industrial players, and distributors.
