These awards evaluate shipping companies from around the world based on rigorous environmental, social responsibility, and governance criteria. <\/p>\n\n<p>Marfret took home the bronze medal, recognising an environmental approach that is both ambitious and pragmatic: a reduction in CO\u2082 emissions of more than 10% over three years, eco-speed sailing across the entire fleet, rigid sails on the Niolon harnessing the trade winds on the Guiana\u2013West Indies route, delivery of the methanol-compatible Durande, and deployment of the REPCET system for cetacean protection.
